Embrace the diverse European beauty of Ibiza, Naples, Livorno, Genoa and Marseille after a Barcelona city break with rooftop pool near the beach - includes an all-inclusive cruise and all travel

Day 1: UK - Barcelona, Spain

Landing in Spain's most edgy and enticing of cities on the northeast coast of Catalonia, you'll check into your Barcelona hotel, complete with rooftop pool. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to begin exploring. (Meals: none)

Day 2: Barcelona, Spain

Today is all about soaking up arty Barcelona's beach buzz and hip street style. Your contemporary hotel lies a tempting 10-minute walk from Llevant beach, the same distance from the modern, architect-designed Parc de Diagonal Mar sculpture park and a further five minutes from the sharp-edged Fòrum building - another architecturally futuristic landmark. You can go bar-hopping at the Olympic Port, marvel at surrealist art at the Fundació Joan Miró, fuel your passion for FC Barcelona at Camp Nou, and admire Gaudí’s dazzling masterpieces at the Sagrada Família and his other mesmerising edifices.

Day 3: MSC Divina, Barcelona Port

You'll set sail from Barcelona at 6pm, having settled into your cabin. Begin your luxury cruise by exploring your fabulous liner, from its stellar entertainment choices to its pools, restaurants, shops and bars.

Day 4: Ibiza, Spain

You'll dock in Ibiza at 8am this morning, the magnetising Balearic Island that draws both sun-seeking clubbers and calmer landscape-lovers to its gorgeous shores and evocative old towns with medieval walls. The ship departs again at 7pm.

Day 5: At sea

Today you'll be gliding across the Mediterranean Sea towards Naples, in sun-baked southern Italy.

Day 6: Naples, Italy

Landing in the gritty port city of Naples this morning, home of unsurpassed pizza, you have the day to roam the authentic street market in the Old Quarter, gaze up at the 13th-century Duomo (cathedral) or perhaps take an excursion (surcharge) to crumbling Pompeii or a ferry to 60s-chic island of Capri. The ship departs again at 5pm.

Day 7: Livorno, Italy

This morning you set foot in Livorno, a port city on the Ligurian Sea in northern Italy. A historic Tuscan trading post and subsequent melting pot of cultures, it's the place today for sumptuous seafood dishes and canalside strolls - or a boat ride - through the Piccola Venezia quarter. You could also take a cultured day trip from here inland to Florence on an excursion (surcharge). The ship sets off again at 7.30pm, giving you plenty of time.

Day 8: Genoa, Italy

You'll dock in Genoa today. The capital of the coastal region of Liguria, this historic port city was named European Capital of Culture in 2004. Wander the medieval Old Town and the contemporary waterfront - homegrown Genoese architect Renzo Piano's cutting-edge transformation of the port area, passing plenty of opulent gems as you go. At 6pm, you'll set sail for France.

Day 9: Marseille, France

France’s gritty, second-largest city is proud of its fascinating Old Port neighbourhood lined with waterfront cafés, stylish bars and chic restaurants. Wander the pedestrianised streets around the Art Deco-style Opéra Municipal and head to the hilltop Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde for panoramic port and sea views. At 5pm, you'll wave au revoir to France and cruise your way back to Barcelona.

Day 10: Barcelona, Spain

You'll disembark your luxury liner this morning, before making your way to Barcelona's airport to fly back to the UK.
