Traverse the plains of Tanzania in search of abundant wildlife with safari games drives, before chilling out on Zanzibar shores with an all-inclusive stay - with all travel, breakfast, some picnic lunches, and visits to National Parks

Day 1: Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro is most famous for its remarkable, snow-capped equatorial mountain and breathtaking landscapes. Landing here, you’ll be transferred to Moyoni Airport Lodge, not far from the centre of Arusha, to settle in and prepare for your safari adventure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 2: Kilimanjaro – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu

After breakfast at the hotel, set off for Lake Manyara National Park - a small park famous for its population of hippos, elephants, flamingoes and, if you’re lucky, tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a safari experience here and tuck into an included picnic lunch, then continue to Karatu for a night in the Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge. (Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner)

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast this morning, set off for the extraordinary Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a spot famous for playing host to the Ngorongoro Crater; the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. This mesmerising place is one of the most wildlife-rich havens anywhere on Earth. Enjoy a game drive here and see if you can see the spotted hyenas, lions and rare black rhino which call it home, then check-in to the charming Ambureni Coffee Lodge on the crater’s rim. (Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner)

Day 4: Tarangire National Park

Often labelled as being one of Africa’s most underrated national parks, Tarangire is a showstopper without all the crowds of the neighbouring Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s most famous for its baobab trees and its elephant migration, with numbers of up to 3,000 individuals during the peak months of July through to October. You’ll spend a day catching sights of wildlife before enjoying a picnic, and spending the night at Ngorongoro Forest Lodge. (Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner)

Days 5-11: Zanzibar

Your last stop sees you bask in all-inclusive bliss at Kiwengwa Beach Resort, a five-star pad on the silky sands of Kiwengwa beach. We’re sure much of your time will be spent around the resort or on the paradisiacal beachfront, however should you get itchy feet, head out to Kiwengwa-Pongwe Forest Reserve, a protected area of indigenous forest which is home to the rare Zanzibar red colobus monkey. Some hotels here also arrange local spice tours, should you wish to indulge in an authentic Zanzibar experience. (Meals: all-inclusive)
